Why Z22 uses 1 mg of melatonin, not 10

More melatonin doesn't mean better sleep. It means a groggier morning. Here's the dose that actually works.

Pick up most sleep products and you'll find 5 mg or 10 mg of melatonin per dose. It sounds stronger. It isn't better.

Melatonin isn't a sedative; it's a signal. It tells your body it's night. A small, well-timed dose is enough to send that signal; piling on more doesn't make you sleep “harder,” it just lingers in your system and leaves you groggy the next morning. That 6 a.m. fog after a sleep gummy? That's the megadose, not the sleep.

The dose that works

EU health rules recognise that 1 mg of melatonin, taken close to bedtime, helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. That's the dose Z22 uses: enough to work, not enough to wreck your morning.

It's not just melatonin

Falling asleep is only half the problem; the other half is the racing mind. Z22 pairs the 1 mg of melatonin with magnesium citrate (300 mg, which contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal functioning of the nervous system) and L-theanine (200 mg). Lemon balm rounds it out.

Stir one sachet into water 15 to 30 minutes before bed. Down fast, wake up clear.

Every milligram on the label.

The Day/Night system: T1x for the day, Z22 for the night.
